Dolores Tolbert, a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family,
and her church, was called home on Friday,
February 3, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

Dolores was born on July 26, 1954, to Lula Mae Jackson
and Arder Wilkins (both deceased). Dolores graduated from
Locust Valley High School in 1972 then attended
Secretarial School . Upon graduation, Dolores began her employment
at Pall Corporation, and eventually found her career
as Executive Secretary, of the Boys & Girls Club of Glen Cove
where she retired, in January 2020, after over 30 years of
helping to make a difference in the lives of others.

Dolores married the love of her life, Joseph W. Tolbert, Jr.,
on June 23, 1974, and they lived happily, together, for
close to 50 years, until Joe went home to be with the
Lord, March 2020. During their marriage, they were blessed
with two children, Tahisha, and Joseph, whom they both loved dearly.

Dolores was a devout Christian, and a member of
Calvary AME Church in Glen Cove, for
more than three decades. Dolores loved to express
her love for the Lord by singing in the choir, participating
in many church functions and always bringing her delicious bright
orange Jell-O Carrot mold anytime, and anywhere, she was asked.

Dolores had a beautiful, sweet, and kind spirit. She always
put others before herself, never complaining, and
showed the love of Christ in everything she did.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Tolbert, Jr. Loving mother
of Tahisha Nicole Tolbert, M.D., and Joseph W. Tolbert III. Dear
sister of Artis Ealy Jr., Cynthia Sucich, Curtis Ealy, and the
late Sheila M. Basnight. Cherished grandmother of Joshua Tolbert,
Kallum Joseph McClendon, and Joanna Tolbert. Dolores is also survived
by many loving aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Our lives have been made better because of Dolores. Be comforted
knowing that she is now cradled in His loving arms, singing in the

Heavenly choir and praying for you all.

She will truly be missed by everyone.
