Delores was a lovely lady and a wonderful mother to her children and probably many also at The Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club. She was a very caring and kind person whom I fondly remember. Innis O’Rourke, M.D.

I met Dolores 10 years ago when I started working at Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club. More than a colleague, she became one of my dearest friends. She was always there for me and I will miss her voice, her kindness, our chats and the sage advise and guidance she always offered. She was such a wonderful person who always available to help people and give of herself. Dolores was truly a rare gem and those of us who knew her are blessed to have had her in our lives. My deepest condolences to her family and all her loved ones.

I love Dolores Tolbert with all my heart. She was such a wonderful person and I loved working with her at Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club. The children there all adored her and she loved them. It was always a highlight for me to pop into Dolores' office and have a nice chat about anything or everything or just to say hello. She loved her family and talked often of her children. Dolores was so proud of their accomplishments. Mr. Tolbert, a veteran, and Dolores, were such a sweet couple. I will miss Dolores so much.
She was the best! Always smiling. Always happy. Always available to lend a hand. She worked so hard to make sure our fundraising efforts at the GC Boys & Girls Club were successful. Dolores was beautiful inside and out!

To the Family(My Family)DOLORES was not only my oldest cousin she was also my GodSister. My Daddy the late ROOSEVELT JACKSON SR was DOLORES beloved GODFATHER. DOLORES had one of the KINDEST,SWEETEST SPIRIT I have ever known. To hear of her transitioning cut me like a knife, as when I lost my own Dear sister CAROL JACKSON-NELSON months ago.I had fond childhood memories of Tad as we the family called her when Grandma ( the late EMMA JACKSON) was alive. DOLORES was one who had GOD AGAPE LOVE..DDOLORES wasn’t like some family members pumped up prideful thinking they are to GOOD to associate with others. WOW many Forget from whence they came. One thing about DOLORES she ALWAYS remained Humble.. FAMILY should signify UNITY and that UNITY should exhibit LOVE.Anytime I invited her to an affair she would ALWAYS NEVER fail to Show up! I will Forever miss that Lady-and our talks at Stop and Shop.. To both Dolores children Tahisha & Joey, her Grandchildren, her siblings Artis,Cynthia,& Curtis. My prayers are with you ALL & May GOD BLESSINGS rest rule and abide with you ALL.♥️
