STANDER, Philip of Bayville, NY on February 3, 2024 at Age 90.  Educator and Published Author for over 50 years.  He taught at Brooklyn College, C.W. Post and Kingsborough Community College, where he served as Professor of Behavioral Sciences and Human Services, and as Department Chair for 24 years.  After retiring from C.U.N.Y., he served as Academic Dean at L.I. Business Institute and then as College President until retirement in 2006.  Loving father of Robert (Terry) and the late Alicyn.  Adored grandfather of Rebecca and James.  Service at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 12 noon.  Interment to follow at New Montefiore Cemetery.  www.dodgethomas.com
