William Daniello, a lifelong resident of Locust Valley, NY passed away on October 10, 2023 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Carole. Loving father of Darlene D. Lyon, Theresa Daniello, Pamela Halpin (Pat), and Elizabeth Faraday. Proud grandfather of Billy and Gavin (Victoria) Lyon; Danielle, Nicole, and Emily Moon; Molly and Zachary Gray; Patrick, Megan, Joey, and Jenna Halpin; and Caroline and Claire Faraday. Cherished great grandfather of Theodore Moon. Brother of the late Victoria Neville and the late Vincent Daniello. Also survived by many loving family members and friends.


Billy was a member of the first graduating class of Locust Valley High School and after graduation, he enlisted in the Army and played football for the National Champion Fort Benning Doughboys. Upon returning to Locust Valley, Billy joined his father and furthered the success of William Daniello & Son for almost 87 years. He was a member of the Howard van Wagner Post 962 American Legion, Locust Valley Rotary (Paul Harris Award), Locust Valley Exempt Fire Department, Dante, and President of the Italian American Mutual Aid Society of Oyster Bay. He was inducted into the Locust Valley High School Athletics Hall of Fame and Grenville Baker Boys and Girls Club Hall of Fame. Billy's favorite pastimes included golfing with his friends, watching his grandchildren's successes, and spending time with the love of his life, Carole.


Visitation at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove on Saturday 4-7pm and Sunday 5-9pm. Funeral service at St. Rocco’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday at 10am. Interment to follow at Locust Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Falcon Pride (memo: William Daniello Scholarship Fund), PO Box 41, Bayville, NY 11709.
