We are so sorry for the loss of this wonderful man! I remember the day you all moved in next door to us on Willits Road!! I was so happy and excited more kids to play with!! I so enjoyed visiting with him and your Mom last time I was in Glen Cove! He was so proud to share family memories and photographs with me! I know our Lord is holding him in the palm of His hand! God bless you all at this time, we have lost a great man. Mr. and Mrs. Cooney raised a terrific family. When we first met the family it was clear that there was a special bond and at the center of it all was this wonderful couple. Mr. Cooney was always happy and with a smile on his face, always inviting and caring of others. We respected him for his love and attention to his grandchildren. He deeply cared for each of them and this brought joy to us. He set the example for all his children and grandchildren......his love, charity and caring will live on through all he touched, through all of his family. May he rest in peace, he assuredly took the super express lane into heaven and is no longer struggling or suffering. He truly was a great man.
