When I met Roger he instantly felt like family. His love for Nubia and the girls showed in everything he did. When I came to NY he had me join in on everything the family was doing. He even took me sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. His love of the sea was evident. I may have over estimated my sailing abilities and the trip took a dangerous turn. But Roger with his strength and skill got us back on course and off we went to have a nice trip. We will miss you.
Love,
Stephanie, Natasha, Morgan and Michael

Dear Nubia and the daughters Roger grew to know and love,
We are all saddened to know Roger will no longer be part of our Thursday morning prayer group...at least in the flesh. Although, silent for much of the last year, we all knew Roger was listening and praying his participation (as he was no longer able to speak). Roger was a man that knew his course and was steadfast in maintaining it --with a strong will and prayerful reflection. We will miss your quiet but profound influence. Lovingly, Richard Brescia

Though our time with Roger was too short but the memories that we have are unforgettable.
He was very easy to talk to, pleasant to spend time with, sadly, It was not as much time as we would had liked.

I learned a long time ago there is a difference between a friend and a dear friend. Roger was, and is, a dear friend. And not only to me; but many people. For over 30 years we have enjoyed a dear friendship that is a special gift and I truly thank God Almighty for that gift. My prayers of peace and grace for Nubia, the girls, Roger's sister, and the rest of the family will continue. I thank God for a life well lived. Nubia, Joy & I love you. In Him, Timothy McCoach & family. Proverbs 3: 5&6.

I have known Roger since he joined our Men's bible study over 20 years ago. My girlfriend, now my wife, went to his wedding. He married late in life to the women he loved, Nubia.
His marriage changed his life. He became a family man after being single for years. As is tradition in our bible study, at the end of each meeting, we go to each attendee and ask for concerns and thanksgiving prayers. After his marriage, Rogers prayers were always for his family. May God rest his soul.
