Obituary of Francesco Caruso

Please share a memory of Francesco to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

CARUSO, Frank of Upper Brookville, NY on November 29, 2021 age 73. Beloved Husband of Rosalia. Loving Father of Angelo (Dina) & Joe (Dina). Dear Brother of Sal, Joe, Maria, Giulio & the late Vittorio. Proud Nonno of Francesco, Alexandra, Francesco, Julianna, Angelo & Dean. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews & cousins.

Frank Caruso started his journey in Torretta, Sicily as a cow herder—a modest job for an otherwise extravagant man.  When he was only a teenager in 1966, Frank made his way to America to marry the love of his life Rosalia. The self-starter would soon work tirelessly as a contractor to build an empire for his wife and two sons—a business he'd be at the helm at for more than 40 years. The love and fight he had for his family never waivered, but when he became a grandfather, his world revolved around those children. His grandchildren remember a man full of humor and good fun, waiting to put a smile on someone's face. Residents of Glen Cove may have gotten a glimpse of Frank driving around town because he always had someone to see or somewhere to be. A man like Frank always made time for the people he loved.

Visitation Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home of Glen Cove on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm and Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass at the Church of St. Rocco Saturday at 10am. Entombment Holy Rood Cemetery.
