I just came across this tragic news; my condolences to the family. I want to share a small memory in case it brings you comfort. When I was 17, my summer job was at the Theodore Roosevelt Bird Sanctuary. Among the many adorable little campers were "Evie and Stuyvie" (i think they were 3 and 5). Both of them had strong personalities but I was bowled over one day. I don't recall if I had told her no about an activity or a snack or something, but Evie came up to me and said "you break my heart." Those words coming out of that little person ... feeling deeply and expressing clearly and boldly. I never forgot it. May she rest in peace eternally.
