I was fortunate enough to work for Jim McDonald and his dad back in the early 1980s. I learned a lot from both of them. Such great men. I just learned of his passing today and I am in shock. My condolences to his wife Colleen their children, his sisters & brother.
I always enjoyed working with Jim and our occasional stop in and say hi casual conversations. Rest in peace my friend, and say hi to your dad for me.

So sad that another of our classmates is gone. I can remember that Jim was always a kind and gentle soul in highschool. His soul and his family will be in our daily prayers.

The ever present MacDonald slouch, the New York err Long Island accent , Jimmys delight in delivering a verbal poke and awaiting your response and then boom he'd light up for the verbal jousting. Lots of fun kidding around and if one chose talk seriously about various topics he was sharp as a tack. many of you knew him from childhood I was lucky to know him from LVHS on. Happy Trails Jim.

Jimmy and I go back to Locust Valley pre-kindergarten. I loved that he was funny and asked that he come over to play, where he entertained my devotion to my dollhouse by piling up tiny plastic chairs to make a staircase. I couldn't stop laughing. I remember this like it was yesterday. Jimmy was sweet and charming and married the beautiful Colleen Cooney, my next door neighbor. Jimmy and his family are Locust Valley legends.

So sad to hear of Jimmy's passing. Since I first met Jim at LVHS, I can honestly say that he is the one person that i never heard a negative word about. I was proud to list him as my friend. My condolences go out to Colleen and the rest of his family. Jim was a winner, in every sense of the word. We will surely miss him.
