I will always remember what a good friend and roommate that John was; he made me smile all the time. We spent many days at Shea watching the Jets, we disagreed with little malice about baseball. I remember coming up to Glen Cove and both watching the Yankees beat the Sox and having a great time. I am sad he has passed too early.

God bless you, Uncle John. You were a sweet, funny man. I will always remember the sailfish you caught and had mounted that hung in Nana's house. I also remember the beautiful blanket you sent her from Germany during your service. She hung it proudly in the hallway. I will miss your smile.

My sincerest condolences to John's family. John and I met probably in junior high school and were good friends for quite a number of years. He worked at Park Appliance on the corner of Forest Ave and Club Rd; I lived with my family in the apartment upstairs. My grandmother Teresa adored John and would often get a ride from "my Johnny" in his convertible. John and I had a lot of good times together. The last time I saw him was at our 50th high school reunion in 2015. Again, I extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn his passing. Fran (Belfiore) Hilliard Hicksville, NY
