Dear Aunt Janet and your entire family , may I extend my deepest sympathy in the passing of your Dear husband , father, grandfather and Awesome Uncle Allen. We all adoring referred to him as Uncle Skip and that's the name he will always be remembered by. I reflect about him with great happiness, laughter and joy , being together as one family and the many decades of family reunions large and small back in U.P. of Michigan - our family's Homestead . He loved running early in the morning to Angelis grocery store to pick up a dozen freshly made sweet rolls for everyone to enjoy and a newspaper before anyone arose for coffee. And would love to take a seat outside in the early morning sun to read the paper and chat with everyone who joined him. We talked of family, politics, some sports and the stock market. He loved his family and didn't boast about all of their fine accomplishments but was deeply proud of the men they had become. As a kid , he introduced me one morning to ketchup with eggs . Although I objected, he insisted it was delicious, and he was right-- it was delicious, as that is how I still eat them till this day lol! . I will miss him dearly as he was a kind and wonderful uncle . Bye uncle Skip , but I know he is in Heaven in Gods hands as he was a blessing to all that knew him. . Peace and Love to All

I would always pay a visit to Allen and Janet at their home and during these visits they would always put chocolates and mixed nuts on the table. Now, I don’t know if they knew I liked those treats (which I do) or they always had them ready for company! Anyway Allen and I would talk until the jars were almost empty. Good conversation builds up an appetite! LOL!! But my most memorable moments with Allen are the ones when he and my Dad taught me a trade I will always treasure and hold close to my heart. They were the educators and I the student and I wouldn’t change anything because that was the best of the best!
Allen my friend may you R.I.P. ❤️
