ADELMAN, Deanna - On Thursday, December 24, 2020. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deanna Adelman at the age of 64, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of the late Leon Koby z”l and Rachel Koby z”l of Toronto, Canada. Loving mother to daughter Lauren Adelman and son Brian Adelman. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Bill Koby and Diane MacLean. Devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews Cory Koby, Lisa Koby and Heather & Jesse Glowinsky as well as great-aunt to Xander, Natsuki, Morgan, Kie, Josh and Nicholas. Survived by her adoring Aunt Israela and Uncle Leon and her beloved cousins. She will be fondly remembered by many close friends and family.

Deanna had a fabulous sense of humour, constantly making people laugh, and was always there with unconditional love and support. Deanna was creative with an impeccable eye and could make anything “stunning”. She was strong, courageous and beautiful, facing challenges with resilience and grace. We will miss her greatly. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kelsen, Dr. Nash and their teams at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for their exceptional care. A family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 29th, 2020. Donations may be made in Deanna’s memory to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
