Ms Betty you will be missed. I fondly remembered growing up with my four friends including her dear daughter Michelle. I burnt her Fudge Pot once (she was not upset with me) She was a sweet caring and wonderful woman. I hope the family find comfort and support RIP. Yvette & Family

A. Betty indeed inherited the charisma of the Binning woman in that her personality was individual and could not be reproduced! A lover of the arts. She took pride in her designs and seamstress abilities. She made many dresses that she wore in her youth. She loved perfumes, clothes, jewelry, and looking her best! It was expected that for a holiday or special occasion her outfit would be a show stopper! A wonderful cook (fly, sorrel, ginger bear, greens cook up, pickles, black pudding,) and baker. The first time I ever saw black cake mads from scratch was at my grandmother's house in which the grinder pureed her selected ingredients. Her laugh, impeccable laugh. It was jovial and inviting. You wanted to laugh too when you heard it. Sometimes a flailing hand would measure the intensity of the comedy. :) A. Betty had a way with children that was unmatched. When I was 6 weeks pregnant with my youngest she took two steps passed me and said " eh eh you cheeks looking rosy! Like you pregnant and it's a boy you getting, she exclaimed with pointed figure. His name is Leon and is now 3 years old. She shared a love of gardening with her sister Wilma who passed before her. She loved to admire a garden and pictures would be had next to flowers , bushes, or trees and she was no stranger to a cutting or two and knew to care for her plants with egg shells. She loved music! And would sing to her hearts content the ballads that she loved. Many whom were sung by an artist that was both musically talented and visually appealing. She loved her grandchildren and those thst she treated as such including my siblings who she babysat. She knew what babies needed without a book. Her movements were almost second nature. She knew of plants and their remedies. She was the life of the party and could shake a tail feather. She never hid away from work. She loved a clean and orderly house and always had a hot meal prepared for her family. A. Betty was observant, kind, giving, and took pride in simply loving her family. She was content to be on a family road trip or in the solitude of her home. She loved her Lord and sang his praise. She loved her siblings dearly,, Guyana, her culture, family, and extended family.. She may have taken a long time to get ready :) but once she joined the caravan it was always a pleasure. A. Betty, as Tina Turner put it: you're simply the best! We are saddened that you are not with us in this life but I draw peace in knowing that you are in the arms of the savior joined by your parents, sister Verna, Wilma, Barbara, brother Rex , my grandfather and all those who loved and adored you as we do. Thank you for your love and kindness for there is nothing greater than these. Rest in Peace. Deanna

What can I say about Betty, Well she was a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a great-grandmother. My dear friends/extended family, Maria, Michelle, Denis and Monique. Words can not explain how I feel about Betty (aka bets), she was like a mother to me and many others. Her home was always open to many including me. I loved he dirty jokes. Denis thought he told the best dirty jokes, but I hate to tell you this Denis, It was bets who told the best jokes. She is greatly love and will be miss tremendously by many, but she will forever be in our hearts. My deepest condolences and sympathy are with you guys. Love you guys.

One of the hardest challenges we face in life is Letting go, whether it be guilt, love, anger, loss or betrayal. My Dear Aunty Betty, May you rest in Peace with the Lord. God be with, Denis, Michelle, Maria, Pierre, Monique, Nicholas, Harrison, Emanuel, Nathan and Michael, we are here for you. We are family and Aunty Betty has left her love behind in our hearts to continue sharing. Betty and Dennis. Dennis the Master Cook at Green Construction and Betty the consummate cook and designer at home.
Betty was a loving and supportive mother to Michelle and Maria and a caring grandmother to her one granddaughter at the time.
She possessed a cool, soft, and well-spoken personality.
I was always welcome at their home. She brought her children up with dignity and to appreciate the finer and noble things in life. Those qualities are visible now in their lives.
Betty, I am sure had a full and enjoyable life as her family would have ensured.

Betty, a woman, mother and friend I knew for over 45 years. she was one of those women considered a true million dollar kinda women a trail blazer in her own RIGHTS. Betty can take a plain piece of cloth and design the most beautiful outfit your eyes have seen, she cooked like a true inspired chief. I can go on but I'll stop here just to say BETTY I LOVE YOU AND WILL FOREVER MISS YOU I AM STILL IN SHOCK BUT, ILL LET MY GOOD MEMORIES OF YOU KEEP MY TEARS FROM FLOWING AS THEY ARE.

Moms as I called her was fond of music as I recall and was so supportive of my musical journey. Neil Diamond, Elton John, UB40 and Nasio Fontane were some of her favourites she freely shared with me. My Integrity Music worship collection was started by Moms way back in the early 90s. Moms was always quiet with a smile and had some old lstory joke to share. I will forever remember her with fond memories. I recall her being at her sewing machine and being very busy whipping up a meal in the kitchen. The previously listed acts always kept those and will continue to have fond memories of Bets as the immediate family referred to her as. May she Sleep In Peace.
