Lel was a treasured neighbor in Meadowspring . A ray of sunshine always with her faith & strength . She was an inspiration to me as a mother and I was in awe of her ability to greet each day with optimism and to provide such unwavering support for her family ; I would see her sons in the neighborhood and at saint John’s & I know she gave them the most joy possible ; I substituted once for tommy at St. John’s and I am delighted to say I truly could not fill his shoes in that regard, the class missed him very very much & loved him dearly ; I will remember her always as a truly beautiful soul & send prayers ; Love Mary Snow

Lel was always lovely and kind to me. Whenever I spoke with her, the conversation had as much warmth as that of a close friend. A beautiful woman, she gave her all to her family. God bless her in eternal rest.

Lel welcomed me and took me under her wing when I joined The Portledge Board of Trustees. She had an abundance of energy, a deep passion for Portledge, and loved being with family and friends. She always greeted me with a smile and ready to plan out the next fund raising event for Portledge School.. She will be greatly missed and my deepest condolences to all the family.
much love

Mrs. Gimbel made me us all feel special... she was the light where there was darkness, she displayed strength where there was weakness and she showed kindness to all that she met. She will be greatly missed... She was one in a million, her radiant smile and loving nature touched our hearts in a very unique way. She was an Angel on this Earth that went to be with God, she was taken away from us too soon... Rest in Peace, our dear Angel.
