Obituary of Aspasia Malikoutis

Please share a memory of Aspasia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

MALIKOUTIS, Aspasia “Stacy” formerly of Bayville, NY on September 2, 2020 age 75. Beloved wife of George for 50 years. Loving mother of Chris (Sandy), Dora Lesher (Adam), Evelyn Gabriel (David) and the late Marianna.  Dear sister of Evanthia, Petro, and the late Michael. Proud grandmother "Yiayia" of Bennet, Nate, James, and Michael. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and family in Greece.
Stacy and her husband, George, were one of the original members of the Greek Orthodox Church of The Holy Resurrection community, along with her Koumbari, Anita and Teddy Georgious. She was also one of the church’s first Greek school teachers, always looking out for the youth.
Stacy worked at the Bayville Primary School for over 25 years in the lunchroom where she always selflessly catered to the kids. The parents and children of Bayville loved her, always serving them with a smile on her face.
Stacy battled Pancreatic Cancer for five years, when doctors only gave her a life expectancy of six months to a year after diagnosis. Her determination to live and fight were beyond inspirational. She never complained about her illness or treatments. Her main priority was tending to and enjoying her family. She always said her grandchildren gave her life!
She will be deeply missed by her family and the community. May Aspasia's memory be eternal.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church of The Holy Resurrection: 1400 Cedar Swamp Rd. Glen Head, NY 11545 or go to: https://www.resurrectiongoc.org/
