Joann was a valiant warrior to the end. She was the most compassionate and kindest person I have ever known. She touched our lives; she touched our hearts. Joann’s passing has created a tremendous void. Her memory shall live on in the good things we do in our service to others.

The Village Church and I are praying in tears for Joann and her family for our dearly beloved sister Joann. Joann was a full-professing member of the Village Church who was dearly loved by all her church members. The Village Church members are very thankful for Joann, leaving behind good Christian examples through her dedication. Joann taught us and blessed us with true love and kindness in Christ Jesus. Many thanks and praises for her ministries of United Methodist Women, Mission, Hospitality and many other church events and programs! May God bless her and her family for supporting the church and the community! Rev. Lydia Han

Joanne, you are a very special lady. You always were concerned about everyone else. I know you fought a fantastic fight until the end and now you are one of my guardian angels. You, Carol, and Lucy were responsible for me coming to work at the Glen Cove Senior Center for the 8 years that I lived in Glen Cove. You all became family to me. I will always love you. May you rest in peace. Doris Hoffman

We will all miss Aunt Joann dearly. She was always checking in on everyone else and making sure they were ok despite how bad she was feeling. She was such a strong and beautiful person. I have many fond memories growing up and spending holidays together that I will cherish forever.

Though your smile is gone forever,And your hand we cannot touch Still we have so many memories Of the one we loved so much.Your memory is our keepsake with which we will never part God has you in his keeping We have you in our hearts . It is sad to walk the road alone, instead of side by side , but to all there comes a moment When the ways of life divide. You gave us years of happiness Then came sorrow and tears , but you left us beautiful memories, we will treasure through the years I will cherish a life time of memories my dear friend 70 years of laughter and tears .God took you home my friend I’ll love you forever till we meet again .All my love Carol ....

Aunt Joanne always amazed me with the amount of energy she carried with her. I guess I expected her to live forever with the great attitude and determination she always carried. She loved her family and made it her pilgrimage in her last years to see them as much as possible. She knew her priorities in life, that's for sure. She's someone I have always respected and I hope my life carries her legacy in some form or fashion. I'm proud to be her niece and will always love and miss her. Her beautiful light and spirit was needed in this world.
