Dear Andy and Barry,
My sincere condolences to you and your family. I have such great fondness for your mother and have thought about her often over the years. She was an incredible 4th grade teacher. She challenged and inspired her students ... and never let us get away with anything. I will never forget Helen Greene, or the impact she had on my life!
All my best,
Nancy

Words cannot express the sadness we feel to hear of our Dearest Helen death. We planned to visit her this month and now it's too late. She was like a mother to us... Kind and wise, great listener with a good advice. To Barry, Andy, Julie, Patty and the grandkids we express our heartfelt sympathies. Wishing you all comfort in the midst of sorrow and pain.

Dear Barry, Julie, Andrew, Patricia, Eliot, Suzanne, Michael and Michelle,
Your mother/grandmother was my 4th grade teacher in 1962. She inspired all of us, and taught us to question, to wonder and to never back down from a challenge. We last saw each other at our reunion, which Andy and Suzanne attended as well, and corresponded since then.
She was truly an amazing person! How lucky you are to have had her as your Mom/Grandmother! She was our mentor, our trusted confidant, our inspiration and ultimately, our friend.
All of us who were fortunate to have her as our teacher have stories we could tell... and the 23 of us who are still around and in touch have been sharing them. What a gift she was to the world!
May her memory be for a blessing. Sending hugs!
Best,
Debbie Sturm (Rausch)
