I am heartbroken about the passing of Bruce. He was such a sweet man and always had a smile on his face. I have such wonderful childhood memories of Bruce and Mary. One memory that always stands out is when Mary would yell to Bruce "Bruce your girlfriend Betsy is here". They were such a terrific couple and loved all the neighborhood children. They do not make neighbors like them anymore. Bruce lived a wonderful and long life. I am sure he is in heaven with Mary and all the neighbors reminiscing about the good old days. May Bruce rest in peace.

We lost Mr Murphy just a few days ago but we have missed him for a long time.
We missed the shift work at LILCO, the early morning golf outings, the backyard garden, and Mr. Murphy & Mrs Murphy with their loving pet Dusty sitting on the back porch enjoying their evenings together. There was not a kinder man on the face of the earth. We were lucky enough to be their neighbor for 30 years. They were our neighbor, friend, and were just like parents to us and grandparents to our children.
If there is an express lane to heaven, it is reserved for him. After he walks into the gates of heaven, his beloved family will be waiting. As he passes through the gate he will see his beloved Mary. And with that voice that we all came to love Mary will say "Hon, what the hell took you so long".. Just like an eternal light, our love for them will never die. God bless them both.

I have such fond memories of Bruce. My favorite would be our backyard bbqs with Bruce on his accordion and dad (Jack) on his guitar and Stormy accompanying ...
Singing the night away...a simpler time.
We will miss you Bruce!
