Obituary of Lorenzo A. Martone

Martone,  Lorenzo A. of Glen Head, NY Age 91.  Devoted husband of 53 years to his high school sweetheart Terrie.  Beloved father of Gina Brown and the late Lawrence John.  Loving father-in-law of Doug.  Adoring Pop-Pop of Keegan.  Dear brother, cousin, uncle to many and a friend to all.   The world has lost a beautiful soul.  Larry enjoyed people, creatures big and small, the grass and the sky, a plate of pasta, a glass of wine and a nice cigar.  A roofer by trade (L. Martone & Sons), he was also a WWII Navy man, an avid golfer, an owner of Race Horses, a gardner, a world traveler and mostly a lover of his family and friends. Friends may visit at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove, NY on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm.  Departure from Funeral Home, Thursday 10am.  Prayer Service at Holy Rood Cemetery, Thursday 11am.  Donations made be made in his memory to the Glen Cove Senior Center or the Make A Wish Foundation.   dodgethomas.com
