ZUPA, Vito J. M.D., of Glen Cove, NY on March 4th, 2018 age 87. Beloved husband of Suzanna. Loving father of Chris (Michele) and the late Jeffrey (Angela). Dear brother of the late Carmel deMarinis. Proud grandfather of Ryan, Alexandria, Carina, Griffin and Beckett. Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home. Service Friday at Dodge-Thomas 11:00am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

 

On March 4th, 2018, Vito Joseph Zupa, M.D. peacefully passed away at his home in Glen Cove, New York. He was born in Mt. Vernon, New York, the son of the late George and Filomena Zupa. He was an accomplished and very well respected member of the community. He attended Yale University and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1951. He also graduated from the Yale School of Medicine in 1954. He served his country in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from 1956-1958. He had a long and successful career as a Radiologist at the Glen Cove Community Hospital. Though he had many proud accomplishments throughout his life, he was most proud of his family. He was the beloved husband of Suzanna Zupa for 61 years.
