Dear Gerald, Jason and Paige, I live overseas and have just heard of Charmian's passing, so please accept these belated condolences. I know you will miss your mother's lovely smile and competent presence. I will always be grateful to Charmian for giving me back my legs. When I first went for pilates therapy I could barely walk with no cartilage in my knee and saw her nearly every week for 5 years until she retired, and I relocated to Qatar and now Vienna. Because of her patient help, I can now walk normally and without a cane. During this time I learned how proud she was of her sons. She would be so happy when Jason visited, and so proud of Gerald's woodwork ("He can make anything.") She spoke of Paige as a born dancer. Last summer I visited Charmian in rehab. She smiled when I reminded her who I was and asked how I had found her because she wasn't where she was supposed to be. I explained that the Regency told me where she was. I will always have fond memories of Charmian. May she rest in peace.
