Obituary of Sylvia Vogel

Vogel, Sylvia of Glen Cove, and formerly of Boro Park, NY on October 6, 2017 at Age 93.  Beloved wife of the late Morton.  Loving mother of Ilene (Fred) Moore and the late Irwin.  Proud grandmother of Kate Taylor Moore and Jeffrey Ian Moore (Danieta).  Dear sister of the late Marilyn Kravitz, Jack Wank, Sol Wank and Martin Wank.  Also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a District 20 Brooklyn Teacher. Sylvia began her career as a teacher at PS 105 and ended her career as a guidance counselor at PS 200. She was a deeply respected educator loved by administrators, colleagues, parents and students. Sylvia was a true advocate for students. She loved Brooklyn College and said, "Brooklyn College Gave Me Life".

Services were held at the Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove, NY.  Interment at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
