Joann Watson, you will be missed. You've left your mark on this Earth; family and friends will look forward to seeing you again in the Heavens. You've raised your children and grandchildren to be kind, courtesy and God fearing people. They will miss you in the flesh but will remember you in the spirit. You will be remembered by extended family and friends through everlasting memories. For that again you have left your mark on Earth.

I will cherish the memories that we had as young mothers, taking turns babysitting for
each other. I will miss our long talks we always had. Most of all I think everyone will
miss your joyful laughter.
Love your sister

My Friend JoAnne Stewart Watson
I would like to say a few words about my friend. JoAnne and I have been
friends since high school, we were 15 years old---over forty years ago.
When we were 16, JoAnne heard about a summer job at the Roosevelt Youth
Center and told me about it and we both got the job. We spent all summer
together and that is when our friendship developed. That kindness…she took a
moment and told me about a job SHE was considering, not knowing if SHE
would get hired. JoAnne was a very caring and thoughtful person.
She loved to laugh and smile. She always made me feel good when we
talked on the phone. You could hear the smile in her voice, that giggle that lit
up her face every time. We’ve been through a lot over the years, but no matter
where life took us, we could always count on each other.
JoAnne taught me a lot over the years, I was the slow one. She taught me how
to make a Bundt cake and I still have her Bundt pan! JoAnne was a steady and
positive influence my life in so many ways and I will miss her with all of my heart.
She showed me her strength raising her children Kymberlya, Kanique, and
Glen. She was so proud to be a grandmother---she bragged a lot about that!
To her beloved husband, Jimmy---Jimmy with you, JoAnne was living her best life
and loving it!! Living life and loving it with you!!
To the family, celebrate JoAnne, keep each other close. Don’t let JoAnne’s
passing separate or divide you.
JoAnne, today I say goodbye, until we meet again. Thank you for your love,
the smiles and laughter, and your friendship. Today, I say goodbye to my very
best friend. Amen,
Gina Washington
