Obituary of Veronica A. Corbo

Veronica A. Corbo, 66, of Glen Cove died August 22, 2017. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ, the youngest daughter of Alfred and Anna (Marazzo) Colella.

In 1973 she was married to Anthony R. Corbo at St. Rocco’s Church in Glen Cove, N.Y.. They have two children.

Ronnie was a dedicated wife and mother as well as an inspired interior designer and an active community member in the city of Glen Cove. Ron’s lifelong eye for design expressed itself not only in the beautiful home she kept, but also through her interior design business RAC that she ran in the late eighties and early nineties. In the first decade of the 21st century, Ron lent her prodigious interior design skills to Laz-y Boy in Carle Place, where she worked for several years. Ron was an active member of the Glen Cove PTA throughout the years her sons were in the Glen Cove public schools, serving as the PTA  president for four of those years. She was also an active member of the Glen Cove Youth Bureau as well as a youth mentor. She loved music and could often be found singing funny songs to her grandchildren who were the absolute lights of her life.

She leaves her beloved husband Anthony; her son Joseph and his wife Kim; her son Brian and his wife Jahn; her sister Barbara and her brother-in-law Mike; and her grandchildren Isabella, Anthony, Lucinda, and Julie. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A wake will be held at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home in Glen Cove on Friday 8/25 with a viewing at 2-4pm and a second viewing 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday 8/26 at St. Rocco’s Church in Glen Cove. Interment will be private.
