Daisy Fung Obituary
Daisy Fung, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lau Ting Sam, graduated from the University of Syracuse with a BA in Psychology and received her Master's Degree in Educational Psychology in 1934 from Teacher's College3, Columbia University.
Mrs.Fung was a Professor of Psychology and English at the Sun Yat Sen University in Canton, China during the 1940's.
She later served as an Education Officer with the Hong Kong Government for 17 years as a supervisor and administrator of schools, and as a counselor to in-service teacher training and teacher certification programs. During the 1960's Mrs.Fung was an administrator of the Head Start Program in San Francisco.
Mrs.Fung was a passionate humanitarian and was active in relief work with the Red Cross and the YW/YMCA during the was years in China and later San Francisco.
Mrs.Fung is survived by 4 of her 13 siblings, two daughters, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
