ROBERTS, Laurence J. "Tex" or "Larry" of Locust Valley, NY on January 23, 2014 age 80. Born April 9, 1933 in Ellsworth, Maine, he was the son of Lorin and Persis Roberts. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. While in the Army, he attained the rank of Sergeant and held many jobs, among them he was an training instructor and heavy vehicle driver, as well as a certified Locksmith. His former wife, Rosina Roberts, survives, along with 6 Children from two marriages: Larry, Lorin, Wendy, Glenn, Sheila, and Dale; many grandchildren, along with 2 sisters, Katherine and Dolores. He was preceded in death by his parents Lorin and Persis, along with his late brother Donald and two sons, Tommy and Craig. Visitation and Funeral Service held at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home in Glen Cove. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
