John and my dad were partners for years in the 62 Squad. My family and the Cuite family would get together at times during the summer at our summer home in Greenwood Lake. Years after John retired and I was a homicide Detective I would catch a case in the 62 Pct. I recall going through the old homicide case files and seeing cases that my father and John had worked on. John was a GREAT Detective. My dad told me that John passed away when he saw his name in the DEA monthly book. I was sadden to his of his passing. I would love to hear from a family member.. May John Rest in Peace I can be reached at NYLaw2683@aol.com

Dear Uncle John,
We shall all miss your easy smile! Holidays at your home in Huntington were vibrant, and I vividly remember your play-by-play and local color commentary on anything football. That you said it was "OK" that we, as kids, could "taste" the holiday spirits was also special, especially since we were getting permission from a NYC detective!
Love,
Karen DeMarco Boroff
