It has been about fourteen years since Sandy’s passing, an event I wish had known about at that time. Sandy and I were schoolmates through grammar school and close friends also. We played together on teams at Grenville Baker Boys Club. We also played on the 7-8th grade football teams where Sandy excelled. He was a fine young man; modest about his abilities; and a great friend. Sandy was an example of many of my friends from that time, as Locust Valley was a nurturing environment for young boys.
My condolences to Sandy’s kin as I am sure his absence has been a great loss.
