SEMBLER, William H. Captain of Glen Cove and formerly of Bayville, NY on November 11, 2010 age 86. Beloved husband of Florence for 59 years. Loving father of William, Richard, Frederick, Donna and the late Robert. Proud grandfather of 8. Special great-grandfather of 1. Loving brother in-law of Lydia and Walter. Captain William H. Sembler was a WWII Merchant Marine Veteran, a Master Mariner and a Professor of Marine Transportation at SUNY Maritime College, Fort Schuyler for over 30 years. Visiting at the Funeral Home of Dodge-Thomas, Glen Cove Saturday 2-5pm and Sunday 5-8pm. Mass at St. Hyacinth RC Church, Glen Head Monday 11am. Interment St. John's Cemetery, Queens, NY.
