George Spellman was a security guard at the Glen Cove Public Library at the time I started working at the circulation desk. After he left that position, he would come in from time to time to say hello to everyone. It was always a pleasure to speak with him. Although I did not know him well, I found him to be a very kind man and I am sad to hear of his passing. My sincere sympathy to his family.
