Robert Dahringer Sr. was a lifelong resident of Locust Valley, LI he died on June 15, 2010 age 75. Beloved husband of Doris Dolly. Loving father of Sandra Bucher (Philip), Robert Jr. (Donna) and Christine Tarantino (George). Devoted grandfather of Jessica & Victoria Bucher, Thomas & Travis Dahringer and Emily & Lucy Tarantino. Dear brother of Lucille, Nancy Moran (James) and the late Peter. Long time friend of Bill W. Member of Locust Valley Fire Dept. for over 56 years, Ex-Captain of Hook & Ladder Co. #1, member of the No. Shore Fire Council, Charter member of both the LVFD Fire Police Squad and Locust Valley Exempts, past President of Mill River Rod & Gun Club, member of LI Antique Power Assoc, and dedicated ER Volunteer at NSUH Glen Cove. Visiting at the Funeral Home of Dodge-Thomas, Glen Cove Saturday 7-9pm; Sunday 2-5 and 7-9pm. Firematic Service Sunday 8pm. Funeral Service at Locust Valley Reformed Church Monday 10am.
