Obituary of Jack Sandler

Jack Sandler, formerly of Hicksville, NY on November 19th, 2015 at the age of 35. Beloved son of Barbara and Lance. Dear brother of Makenzie. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends. Jack was the head men's Lacrosse Coach at Colby College in Maine where he took over the program for the 2013-14 academic year and guided the Mules to two straight NESCAC playoff appearances. Before his time at Colby, he was head coach at Skidmore College, where he was Liberty League Coach of the year for 2007 and 2011. Jack was also assistant Coach at Bates College, his alma mater. Jack graduated from Bates in 2002, and was Bates second all-time leading scorer. Jack was highly involved with lacrosse on the national level. He sat on the USILA Executive Board as an NCAA Division III representative. Sandler was elected to the post. He also was part of the USILA All-America Selection Committee from 2011 to 2013 and has served on the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee from 2007 to 2010.
