Obituary of Rosina E. Roberts

Rosina E. Roberts was a longtime resident of Glen Cove who passed away on November 4, 2015, at the of age 88. She was born June 14, 1927 in Panama City, Panama to Conrad Hoyte and Rhoda Miller. In her late 20's, Rosina met and married Laurence Jessie Roberts (Larry Roberts), while Larry was stationed at Fort Clayton in the late 50's. The two, later emigrated to the United States in 1961. Rosina loved attending church services and praising the Lord. She is survived by 5 children: Lorin, Wendy, Glenn, Sheila and Dale, as well as, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by siblings Conrad Hoyte and Georgina Hoyte, her precious niece Miriam (who share the same birthday) and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Conrad in 1972, Rhoda in 1946 and her siblings Dorcas, John, Juanita, Julian and Rhoda. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10 1030am-1230pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 1230pm at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove, NY with Pastor Jim Phegley. Interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
