So many wonderful memories. You taught me so much. How to make a centerpiece for the dinner table and set the table, how to make a toy doll, how to weave a cross on construction paper and how to say my morning and bedtime prayers to name a few. You will always remain in my heart as a special person who helped me develop and learn many of the good things that are a part of who I am today. Thank you.

Dear Frank and family,
I was so sorry to read of Ada's passing. She was an amazing lady- kind, funny and full of life. It is hard to think of her as gone. I was lucky enough to work with Frank and Ada in my capacity as a fiduciary advisor for US Trust. She impressed me as being a woman of faith who lived her values. She treated everyone with kindness. I feel privileged to have known her. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

To all loved ones of Ada Flower:
I remember Ada (and Frank) so well. When I was being considered as the new youth pastor at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in 1981, Ada was the chairperson of the Education Committee, and so she (along with others) interviewed me. I knew right away that I liked her and that she would be a great person to come alongside my work with the youth. And she was! As I began my work at the church in the fall of 1981, she was a wonderful supporter. Then, in January 1982, I unexpectedly needed to move out of my living situation at Princeton Seminary. Ada and Frank kindly offered to take me in as a (very inexpensive!) boarder. Frank used to say that I was the guy who intended to stay for a few months and ended up staying for two years! They had to put up with the youth group members playing tricks on me (at their house!). And they were so immensely kind to me--feeding me, housing me, and caring for me. The most important aspect of Ada was her listening ear. She was the model of an active listener; she asked probing questions and concentrated on my concerns, but never offered advice unless I asked for it. In many ways, she served as a mix of a mentor and a mom-away-from-home for a twenty-something who needed mature and thoughtful encouragement. I will always be grateful for their amazing and generous hospitality to me in the early 1980s.
Ada extended God's grace to me and I will forever be thankful.

Dear Joan, Scott, Thomas, Emily and the rest of the Flowers family,
With deepest condolences to you all, your Mom was a super wonderful person that made everyone feel at home with her. We remember her being one of the first to greet and welcome us to the Village Church on 1998. We no longer live in Bayville, but her legacy will live on forever. Rest-In-Peace dear friend and until we meet again may you be sitting on the right hand of GOD our Father..... Blessing to you all...
