JOHNSON, Robert J. of Bayville, NY on August 16, 2026 at Age 82.  Beloved husband of Sadie of 61 years.  Loving father of John (Monica), JoAnn Campbell-Lynch (Brian) and Camille Caprarella (Jerry).  Proud grandfather of Kevin, Eric, James, Anthony, Nicholas, Jonathan, Ainsley, Meghan, and Pierce.  Also survived by brother in law, sister in law and many loving nieces and nephews.

Robert loved spending time with his family.  His grandchildren were the joy of his life. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always found a way to make people laugh. He was an avid boater who enjoyed spending time on the water.  Robert’s heart was always open and generous in helping all in need.  Our dad was a kind and generous man who always looked for ways to help those in need and bring hope to others. He was especially touched by the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital commercials and their message of hope, which reminded us all to be thankful for our blessings and to help others whenever we can.

Visitation at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 2-7pm. Mass at St. Getrude RC Church on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 11:00am.  Interment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery.
