Judith Hazel Lind, 84, of Glen Cove, New York, passed away on May 13, 2026. Born in Brooklyn on September 21, 1941, to Hilton and Hazel Smyth, she grew up with her brothers, Bob and Bill, in a family that fostered her lifelong strength and independence.

After attending Leland Powers School of Radio, Theatre, and Television in Boston, Judith began her career as a radio broadcaster in Connecticut. She later co-founded two businesses: Tot Stop, a preschool in Ardsley, New York, and Gardening Angels, a venture that combined her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

Judith was the devoted wife of the late George Lind and a loving mother to John (Laurie) and Ted (Rhegie). She was a proud grandmother to Olivia, Sophia, and Jhade. Her Christian faith remained a steady foundation throughout her life.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by The Regency at Glen Cove and the Northwell Health Hospice Care Network during her final days.

A fiercely loving matriarch and free spirit, Judith will be deeply missed for the lasting impact she made on everyone who knew her.

A memorial visitation will be held on May 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, 26 Franklin Ave, Glen Cove, NY 11542, followed by a luncheon.
