Obituary of Brandon W. Curran

CURRAN – Brandon, March, 1954 – January 24, 2026, died unexpectedly at home surrounded by his loved ones.

Loving husband of Lisa (Travatello) for over 30 years, devoted father to Christian, cherished son to Daniela (deceased), fun loving brother-in-law (Bob and Patricia), Uncle (Briana, Connor and Patrick), Godfather (Briana and Lucas) and a great friend to many.

Brandon loved life and lived it to its fullest. With the Golden Retriever as his spirit animal, he was a true legend in the veterinary surgical supply business as President of Universal Surgical Instruments bringing his big personality and humor to his work with confidant and right hand Sandra Leon while treasuring the friendships he made throughout his career.

He will always be remembered for his passion for cars, Phish, good food and spirits, Bucee’s, tennis, Law & Order and making great memories when visiting his favorite places - Vegas, Hawaii, Lake George, the Bahamas, Park City and Florida. His zest for life was felt most in the laughter and moments he shared with his family, friends and colleagues.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home in Glen Cove – in honor of Brandon’s vibrant personality, please wear your favorite bright colors. Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Rocco on Saturday, January 31 at 10 a.m. followed by a celebration of life reception.
