Obituary of Maryann R. Majewski

Maryann R. Majewski, age 75, of Glen Cove, New York, passed away on January 18, 2026. Born on July 19, 1950, in Glen Cove, Maryann was a proud graduate of Glen Cove High School and a lifelong resident of her beloved hometown.

Maryann was devoted to her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Majewski, with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. High school sweethearts, Maryann and Bob built a beautiful life together and especially enjoyed their many trips to the Bahamas. Bob remained faithfully by her side throughout her long illness, caring for her with unwavering love and dedication.

Together, Maryann and Bob raised their daughter, Cheryl Waterbury (Mike) of Clinton, CT. Maryann was a proud and devoted grandmother to her cherished grandson, Miles Waterbury, of Los Angeles, CA, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Maryann is also survived by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Bernadette and Billy Melillo of Glen Cove; her dear Aunt Honey Zekraus; and many treasured cousins and friends whom she held close to her heart.

The family is deeply grateful to the entire staff at Glengariff Nursing Home for the compassionate and attentive care they provided to Maryann during the past year.

At the family’s request, a Catholic prayer service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 12:00pm at Dodge Thomas Funeral Home in Glen Cove. Interment is private.
