TAVERNESE, Anthony A. "Rick" of Glen Cove, NY, passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 59. Beloved son of Virginia and the late Anthony F. Loving father of Julianna. Dear brother of Danielle (Brad Robinson). Former husband of Michelle. Cherished uncle of Bailey (Alex), Katheryn, Erin, and Heather. Also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Rick was a lifelong volunteer firefighter with the Glen Cove Fire Department — a hero in life who continued his legacy in death as an organ donor, selflessly saving three lives.


Visitation will be held at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home in Glen Cove on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 4–8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface Martyr Church on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be a private gathering at Locust Valley Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anthony's honor to Glen Cove Fire Department.
