Gasper Buffa Jr posted a condolence

I remember well Mr Hepps creativity and ability to put it into a real item. I lived next door until I graduated from college with the rest of the Buffa’s. His laugh was contagious and I also remember well the “model” club that jay and Leslie and me and others had in his basement. That is where Jim’s workshop at home was and I always wondered how the boys had such beautiful paint jobs on their model cars. I also enjoyed the parties we had in the neighborhood and the old guys would play poker after. They usually were pretty calm except a game or two of high pot matching playing “between the sheets”.
I am so sorry to hear he has passed and certainly offer my condolences to the entire family. We would not be the same people if fate did not make us neighbors and I miss seeing you all as I have been here in Michigan now for many years. My best to Marge, jay, Leslie, and of course Holly

I am so sad to hear of Jîms' passing. I remember as a next-door neighbor, when Jay, Leslie, my brother Gasper and I put on a play in the car port. Jim made the costumes for us. He was a great artist and what fun we had! He was full of life and always had a twinkle in his eye. I enjoyed our time together serving the community on the Homeowner Association Board after I moved back to Red Spring Manor in 1996. I cherish all the memories the Rose and Gasper Buffa family had growing up next door to the Jim and Margie Hepp family.

I am so sorry to learn of his passing. We spent many happy years living next door. I remember one time he took me for a flight in a plane he had built. It was fun but I did get a bit nauseous when he did some loops around. He was an interesting man. He will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to his wife, Marge, and his whole family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Carol Buffa Williams

I have so many wonderful memories of growing up next door to the Hepp family. I babysat many times for them. We had beach parties and block parties and loved each other. Our families were best friends and we children played together. Jim Hepp always had something creative going on, be it a car kit or a plane kit. They were wonderful people.
