Anna (Nerris) Brakatselos, at the age of 93, passed away peacefully in her home on

Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

She was born and raised in the Village of Fallika in Andros, Greece. In her early teens, she arrived in New York with her family, and within a few years she worked in the City’s fur market. There, she met and later married John Brakatselos. Anna was a devoted and loving wife for over 48 years until he passed in 2001. A dedicated and loving mother, Anna is survived by her loving sons George, and Theodore with his wife Vicky, and her loving grandchildren John Theodore, Nicholas Pericles, John George and Evelyn Anna. She is also survived by her loving sister Adrienne Moustakas, along with loving nieces, nephews, and godchildren.  

Arrangements entrusted to Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. The viewing will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Resurrection, located at 1400 Cedar Swamp Road, Glen Head, NY 11545, on Friday, February 14th, 2025, from 9:30am to 10:30am, with the Funeral Service immediately after. The Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY, 11735.
