I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Roy he was a true gentleman. I met Roy through the National Law Enforcement Associates events. I enjoyed his wit and wisdom; it was always an honor to be in his company. My condolences to Reta and the Barnard family. I will be keeping Roy and his family in my prayers during this difficult time.

Roy was a true gentleman and a good friend to law enforcement. I enjoyed many nights just chatting with him at his various establishments. He hosted many NYPD, FBI, DEA and other events and genuinely cared for the well-being of our Finest. May God welcome him with open arms. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I KNEW ROY FOR OVER 30 YEARS. FIRST AT DESMONDS, THEN KENNEDYS. ROY WAS A FRIEND TO ALL NYPD. A TRUE GENTLEMEN, WE SHARED MANY STORIES AND COCTAILS. BEFORE THE FINAL CLOSING ON 57TH STREET, I WOULD HAVE LUNCH EVERYDAY FOR 8 YEARS. I WILL MISS HIM DEARLY. HE IS IN MY PRAYERS. GOD BLESS HIM. RIP SAL BLANDO, RET. CAPT., NYPD DETS.
