To the Filippone Family:
My condolences to you and your family. I am so sorry that you have lost your dear loved one, Mr. Filippone. Our heavenly Father Jehovah yearns to see the time when all in the grave are brought back to life on a paradise earth. Many people feel that God has taken their dear loved ones, but know that the reason for 'sin and death' lies with the disobedience of Adam and Eve. (Romans 5:12) But our dear Father has made provisions for all in the grave to be resurrected back to life. (John 5:28,29) And he provided the means by wish we can enjoy life, his son's death. (Romans 6:23) May you find comfort in knowing that the gift of everlasting life await all obedient mankind.
So sorry to hear about Leo.My son graduated from Friends in June and i did not know Leo was ill.I also graduated Glen Cove High with him and saw him at our reunion in 2009. Leo you will be missed by many. You fought a tough battle and your strength and courage will always be admired. Leo, was a wonderful family friend whom always cared about everyone who he surrounded. His friendship with my father I will never forget and will always cherish. Leo, my father Lee and Uncle Joe will be in good company that were all taken too soon.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Gina and Sebrina. Our homes will never be the same but their memories will live on through us all.

Leo, one of the sweetest guys I knew. You loved life, your wife, your daughter and your sports with all your heart. You cared about people and that was your most precious gift to this world. Your kindness will be greatly missed.
So sorry to hear about your passing. I will always remember our fun times through grades 1-6, and, of course, St. Rocco's cathechism classes. Lots of great memories, fun times, and many laughs. Will miss you, dear friend. My sympathies to your family.
