CELEBRATION OF LIFE
Marion Stone was a gem. I met Marion when Larry and Selya were dating. I immediately took her as a friend. She was charming, warm, well spoken and friendly, Conversation was easy and flowing. When the children decided they wanted to get married, Marion reached out to me to seek my opinion. I gave my honest opinion that the kids have graduated college and both have good jobs and in my opinion can get married if they so wish. Marion has since respected my opinions. The children started the planning of their wedding and both Marion and I worked together as a team helping Selya and Larry with the planning. The relationship grew from cordial to close family. She would always invite us to the summer barbecue on the Island. The first time we attended she attempted to make spicy chicken for us. I brought a spicier chicken as well and that made everyone who was bold enough to try it tear up. She told everyone who would listen that we were her in-laws and we eat spicy food.
Marion always had the sweetest smile. The only thing that took her sweet smile away was the pain she had in the hospital. She was a great entertainer. We have also attended the Stones yearly tango party. She was a great hostess and a wonderful tango dancer. I watched her dance in amazement. She was like a sister to me. Her exit has left a void. I will truly miss her. May the great Lord receive her into his bosom. Eternal Rest Grant unto her O Lord and let Perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen
