STEVEN JOHN SIEGEL-SLYKHUIS of Glen Cove, NY and formerly of Cedar Falls, Iowa passed away on December 19, 2017 age 42. Beloved husband of Ian and father to their French Bulldog, Jean Luc. Devoted son of the late Jerry and Jane. Dear brother of Matthew and sister-in-law JoHannah. Proud uncle of Joella, Asher, Aiken and Jesse. Also survived by loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Steven was the former Operations Director at Solid & Striped in Manhattan. He graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Apparel and Textiles.

Visiting at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home: 26 Franklin Ave. Glen Cove on Friday from 4-7pm. Service at Glen Cove Christian Church: 74 Walnut Rd. Glen Cove on Saturday 10am. The Interment in will take place in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, you can honor Steve Siegel-Slykhuis's memory by donating to Cedar Valley Pridefest, the LGBTQ pride festival back in Iowa where Steve grew up and went to college.
