FLOWER, Ada Z. of Mill Neck, NY on October 2, 2017 age 92. A gracious woman who was deeply loved by her husband Franklin B., children Ann (Craige), Linda (Gary), Debbie (Gerry), and Joan (Scott); brother Charles and his two children Karen (Steve) and Scott (Laura); grandchildren Devin, Jesse (Sara), Dustin Oliver, Emily, and Thomas; and great-grandchild India Ray. Born in Easton, PA. to Edward C. and Mabel S. Graduated from Moravian College. Taught high school in Pennsylvania. Beloved elementary school teacher for more than 20 years in East Brunswick, NJ. Married for 67 years to the love of her life, Franklin. Retired to Oyster Bay to care for her father-in-law H. Butler Flower and worked at F.M. Flower and Sons Oyster Farms until it was sold. During retirement she and Franklin enjoyed many years of world travel and volunteering. Active member of the Village Church of Bayville. Former board member of Doubleday-Babcock Senior Center in Oyster Bay. Lovingly cared for during her final years by Bernice, Nichette, Moveta, Myrna, Iris, Valerie, Karen, Agnes, and Candice. Ada was an intelligent, compassionate, warm, and loving lady. She adored learning about each person she met, and got great pleasure from gardening. Her absence leaves a hole in many hearts.
